Halloween Ideas

It is always a challenge to plan what to dress up our kids and ourselves for Halloween party. I am a first generation immigrant to America and the entire tradition is new to me. I am not sure what is appropriate and what is not to wear for this celebration. I gather my ideas from the fancy dress competition we used to participate in school back in India. I don't want to get dressed up scary or spooky with kids around. They would scream and panic. My son was so terrified with the whole Halloween dress up during his first Halloween and leave alone wearing some scary costume. I like the whole concept of dressing up and it's a great time to bring out the child in us.
